Student Travel Awards

We are pleased to announce travel support opportunities for students to attend the 36th Australasian Database Conference (ADC 2025), to be held on 4-6 December 2025, jointly in Sydney, Australia (UNSW Sydney) and Bali, Indonesia (Tsinghua SEA Center). These awards aim to assist students with travel costs associated with attending the conference and to encourage participation from emerging researchers in the data-management community.

Support: Up to AUD 300 reimbursement for travel expenses, based on actual receipts.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students at a recognised university.
• Attend ADC 2025 in person (Sydney or Bali site) and have registered for the main conference.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be reviewed by a committee of ADC 2025 organisers and domain experts. Selection will consider:

• Quality and relevance of the applicant’s research
• Financial need and institutional context
• Potential contribution to the conference community
• Diversity and inclusion considerations
