CORE Student Travel Award

We are pleased to announce travel support opportunities for students to attend the 37th Australasian Database Conference (ADC 2026), to be held on 15-17 December 2026, jointly in Brisbane, Australia (UQ Brisbane City) and Hengqin, China (City University of Macau). The CORE Student Travel Award, sponsored by CORE (Computing Research and Education Association of Australasia), aims to assist students with travel costs associated with attending the conference and to encourage participation from emerging researchers in the data-management community.

Support: Up to AUD 300 reimbursement for travel expenses, based on actual receipts.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students at a recognised university.
• Attend ADC 2026 in person (Brisbane or Hengqin site) and have registered for the main conference.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be reviewed by a committee of ADC 2026 organisers and domain experts. Selection will consider:

• Quality and relevance of the applicant’s research
• Financial need and institutional context
• Potential contribution to the conference community
• Diversity and inclusion considerations
