Call for Demos

Overview

The Australasian Database Conference (ADC) is an annual forum for sharing the latest research advances and novel applications in database systems, data management, data mining, and data analytics. The 37th edition of the conference, ADC 2026, will take place from 15–17 December 2026, co-located in Brisbane, Australia and Hengqin, China.

The Demo Track invites live and interactive presentations that showcase novel data management systems, applications, services, tools, and prototypes. Its goal is to provide practical, hands-on experiences that bring theoretical and algorithmic contributions to life, fostering deeper engagement and dialogue within the database research community.

Demos are especially encouraged to present new ideas, real-time capabilities, interactive data experiences, and practical use cases that demonstrate how advances in database systems and data analytics are shaping future applications.

Demo submissions are encouraged in all areas covered by the ADC Research Track, including but not limited to:

We especially encourage demos that turn research advances into practical, interactive experiences for the ADC community.

Submission Guidelines

Please prepare a demo proposal (minimum 6 pages) using the Springer Nature LaTeX template and submit it through the ADC 2026 submission system:

In addition, each submission must include a supplementary file that demonstrates and explains the system. Choose one of the following formats:

  • A PowerPoint file (maximum 10 slides), or
  • A video (maximum 3 minutes).

This supplementary file should address the following:

  • What is the scientific or engineering concept behind the work?
  • What is novel about the system compared with existing solutions?
  • What will be shown during the live demo?
  • What level of interactivity will the audience experience?

Optional: If your demo has special requirements (for example, lighting, space, or equipment), include a separate one-page PDF booth configuration. Supplementary materials must be submitted as a ZIP file not exceeding 10 MB.
